Sweet Life Coffee

How cool is it to have a cafe right inside your subdivision? Super cool.

'Sweet Life Coffee', a cafe found along Chestnut Street, at the corner of Celery Street, has been serving its patrons since February 2011 at the Greenwoods Executive Village in Pasig/Cainta.

Being one of those 'hole in the wall' places, homeowners get to enjoy a quiet and relaxing vibe compared to well-known coffee shops around the metro.

The cafe's interiors also live up to it's facade, exuding a sleek, modernized, retro-American vibe

Having a high-rise ceiling makes the place seem larger despite its small floor area. Dim lights don the place, creating a relaxed, yet refined atmosphere. The chairs are also bolstered, to provide comfort for those who love to sit around talking for hours.

The 60's is revived through different trinkets and portraits around the cafe, such as this van from the 1960's, the vinyl player near the entrance, the iconic print of Andy Warhol's 'Campbell's Soup', and others.

This one on the right is my favorite. If you've watched Titanic, you would most likely recognize this contraption they used to regulate a ship's speed - an Engine Order Telegraph (EOT), also known as the Chadburn.

You can turn the knob sideways and hear the bell ring on each turn. It's not from the 60's, but it is interesting nonetheless.

The cafe's food is also really affordable, ranging from P55 and up. They also offer rice meals throughout the day, for customers who would like to eat something more filling or unsweetened.

When my friends and I went, they had their all-day breakfast meals which includes, Times Square (Vigan Longganisa, Egg and Rice), Wall Street (Toasted Bread with Egg) and Broadway (Tapa, Egg and Rice).

We came around noon, so we just bought a hot choco and two cold drinks, each costing below P100.

I loved their frappe. It's a cold chocolate-mocha, I think, perfect for a good sugar rush on a relaxing, summer afternoon.

Sweet Life Coffee is open everyday, even on weekends, from 7:00am until 12:00 mn . They also have a parking lot available for their patrons.

Having a beautiful ambiance and design, affordable products and a quiet environment most coffee shops don't offer, Sweet Life Coffee is definitely a great place to go to when you are offline.
