Good and affordable food await office workers, students and food enthusiasts in an almost-secluded area in Amethyst Drive, Ortigas - Mozu Cafe.
Aside from the good and affordable food, Mozu offers its patrons a break from their wild working hours, through its relaxing ambiance.
Customers can smoke outside of the cafe. The non-smoking area is located inside.
Orders are taken by the waiters, so you can just sit back and catch-up with old friends, without having the agony of falling in line.
One of my friends tried their Lechon Laing which costs P165.
He really enjoyed his meal, and for someone who has a veggie-peeve, my friend managed to finish the laing served with the pork.
Their other rice fillers include Adobo Flakes, Beef Teppanyaki, Fish Fillet Au Gratin and others, which has a price range of P150 to P275.
I tried their Adobo Pasta, which costs P150.
The pasta itself is al dente. The adobo chunks are mildly flavored and light in amount, so as not to overpower the pasta's distinct texture and taste.
The garlic bread was okay, it was not pungent so as not to clash with the savory adobo.
Their Frozen Iced Tea is on the sweet side - a must try for those who has a sweet tooth.
It costs P70 and is literally frozen to a slush, which is perfect for hot days and for those who are in need of a sugar rush.
Cakes and pastries are also sold inside the cafe. The cakes are priced around P125/slice. I have not tried the pastries yet. They look good though.
With just P150 in your pocket, you could already have a good meal for breakfast, lunch or dinner before school, before work or before another round of bumming around.
A relaxing place with good and affordable eats in a busy commercial area, Mozu is definitely a place to go to when you are offline.
